There’s also some tracks in the soundtrack that sound really similar to ones from other soundtracks by Hans Zimmer.

Originally, for the “broken piano”, Hans Zimmer simply detuned his own piano, but he didn’t like the sound so the studio found an old piano to mutilate. SOME OF THE CONTENT IN THIS FACT MAY BE TOO OVERWHELMING AND/OR GRAPHIC FOR YOU TO VIEW. Hans Zimmer went all out with the unconventional instruments for this one (he was aiming for a Romanian sound) he used instruments such as the banjo, hammered dulcimer (:D), squeaky violins, a broken piano, and other items like an experibass (an absolutely AWESOME instrument that is basically a mutilated double bass…? If you are a bassist, you will either like this or be horrified at what has been done to the bass… ) you can hear said experibass in “Marital Sabotage”, especially at the beginning and the last 20 seconds or so of the track (you’ll recognise it immediately if you watch the above video).Ĥ. The director of this film, Guy Richie, used the soundtrack from The Dark Knight (Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard also reviewed on this blog) as the temporary soundtrack during film edits.ģ. This soundtrack should not be confused with the one for Sherlock(BBC TV show), which is by David Arnold and Michael Price (I loved the music and I reviewed both series’ soundtracks).Ģ. The other thing I was going to say here concerns the soundtrack, so nevermind.ġ. Not sure why… but anyway, it was about the third time it’d happened that day, so I didn’t feel like taking it down. The Thor: The Dark World trailer is not up for any reason besides the fact that it was supposed to be on my other blog (and for whatever reason, WordPress automatically assumes that I always want to post to the Soundtrack Universe.
Believe me, I have about twenty things to do in about a week and a half before school starts.
